Position Summary
The Bank Teller is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing financial transactions. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers and helps promote the bank’s products and services while ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Identify and refer customer needs to appropriate banking staff.
- Educate customers on bank products, digital banking services, and self-service options.
- Resolve routine customer inquiries and issues professionally.
- Verify customer identity and complete transactions in accordance with bank policies and regulations.
- Assist with account maintenance and routine administrative duties.
- Contribute to branch sales and customer service goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of banking products and services preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software systems.
- Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
